 The Rwenzori Center for Research and Advocacy (RCRA) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 98-1511659, operating in and fully registered by the law of Uganda since 2014 as a National NGO registration number 150313682NB. RCRA strives to improve healthcare, education, climate resilience, and livelihoods outcomes for the marginalised and vulnerable children, women, adolescents and their communities in the Uganda.

RCRA’s health department operate a not-for profit Community Health Centre III and Adolescent Centre offering free and subsidised comprehensive adolescent and youth sexual reproductive health (HIV Testing and Counselling, STI/STDs screening, Adolescents antenatal care, cancer screening, Family Planning counselling and services)

Our Projects

Community Health

Our integrated Family planning outreach clinics operate in remote communities and spaced 10km radius from the previous clinic, offers long and short-term FP methods, cervical cancer screening, immunisation, deworming, Antenatal and postnatal care, HEPB testing, HIV testing services, Malaria testing, eye  clinic and general doctor consultation. Complimented by Nurses and community health workers’ door-to-door visits and FP service provision.

HIV Prevention and Treatment

Accelerating Epidemic Control (ACE-Fort)/ HIV Prevention and Response- ( 2018- September 2023)

Provide prevention and care & treatment interventions that contributes to the triple 95.

Conduct weekly Stepping Stone sessions as per the Stepping Stone curriculum.

Conduct weekly SINOVUYO/ Parenting sessions as per the SINOVUYO curriculum.

1,000 Women’s Gardens for Health and Nutrition

We treat for emergencyies such as acute illness, injuries, as well as general health emergencyies that may come out of the blue.
